Puidukoda continues its commitment to supporting the local community and young people’s education by awarding the Young Specialist Scholarship to three students from Mulgi Parish, who will be pursuing studies in science and technical fields. The scholarship amount is €2,250, aimed at supporting young individuals whose knowledge will contribute to the future development of the region.
This year’s scholarship recipients are Kasper Palu, who will study Computer Engineering at the University of Tartu, Rauno Lill, who will begin his studies in Mechatronics at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, and Viktooria Veidenberg, who will pursue Agri-Business and Financial Management at the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
According to Puidukoda’s CEO, Eveli Opmann, the scholarship is a vital step in supporting local education and nurturing the next generation of specialists. “Our goal is to give young people the opportunity to acquire the skills we will need in the future, as the world is moving more and more towards automation and robotics,” Opmann said. “We hope these students will return with their knowledge and skills to help develop their home community.”
As one of the largest employers in Viljandi County, Puidukoda sees the scholarship as an opportunity to contribute to sustainability and the training of future specialists, who will be increasingly needed in the region.
